The power of photography
10 years ago I visited a lovely lady named Cath.
Cath was in her later stages of Multiple Sklerosis (MS), and was spending her final years at her home in Sheffiled.
She asked me if I could help her empty all her photo albums and stick the photographs all over her bedroom, as she no longer could flick through her photo albums. I wallpapered her entire house. People photos in the bedroom, garden and nature photographs in her kitchen; the only two rooms she could still use.
Finding this photograph is a somber reminder of how life, time and memories are so precious, and what’s the point if you cannot look at, share and/discuss them?
I think this is why you will always find me with a camera in my bag.
